End-to-End Encrypted Storage
NordLocker encrypts files locally before they are transferred to the cloud.
This helps keep files unreadable to unauthorized users while they are being uploaded, stored, synchronized, or shared. NordLocker uses encryption technologies including AES-256 and XChaCha20-Poly1305.
Zero-Knowledge Architecture
NordLocker uses a zero-knowledge design, meaning the provider does not have access to the unencrypted contents of a user’s stored files.
Even file names are encrypted within the NordLocker environment. Access remains controlled by the account holder and the people they authorize.
Secure File Sharing
Employees can share encrypted files by inviting another user through email or generating a protected sharing link.
Depending on the sharing method, users can control permissions, set passwords or expiration dates, review access, and revoke access after a file has been shared.
Encrypted Lockers
Related documents can be organized inside encrypted folders known as lockers.
A locker can contain multiple files and folders, allowing employees to share a complete project or collection of documents without sending each item separately.
File Synchronization
Files stored in the NordLocker cloud can be synchronized across supported devices.
This gives employees access to current file versions while helping reduce the need to maintain separate local copies on multiple computers.
Support for Different File Types
NordLocker supports files and folders across common business formats, including documents, spreadsheets, images, videos, presentations, and other file types.
